New jobs figures today show that employment is at a record high – with more people in work than ever before –and unemployment is at its lowest since 1974.

The former councillor for Alnwick Robbie Moore has thanked the residents of Alnwick for their support as he stands down from his council role. Robbie was elected to Parliament in December 2019 to represent the Keighley and Ilkley constituency.

Northumberland Conservatives have unveiled local hotelier Reuben Carr as their candidate for the forthcoming town and county council by-elections in Alnwick.

The elections will be held following the resignation of Robbie Moore after his successful election to Parliament.
