Since our stunning win in the County Council elections of 2017, I thought that it is only right to consider what we have achieved as a Conservative-run Northumberland County Council.

 

Guy raises a glass to Matfen microbrewery

Hexham MP Guy Opperman visited High House Farm Brewery, a micro-brewery within a working farm in Matfen. The brewery is where all sixteen of the company’s beers are brewed, made from the finest English ingredients.

Brian Erskine

Brian is the Town Councillor for the Cowpen ward. He was newly elected in 2021 and is one of the five councillors we now have across Blyth. 

Caitlin Jones

Caitlin is one of the Town Councillors for the South Blyth ward. She was newly elected in 2021, taking the other Liberal Democrat seat. South Blyth is the only ward in Blyth with two Conservatives councillors. 

Cliff Humphrey

Cliff is the the county councillor for the Newsham ward of Northumberland County Council and he also represents Newsham on Blyth Town Council. Since 2021 he has been the Vice Chair of the Licensing Committee and the Vice-Chair of the Licensing Hearing. 

Colin Hardy

Colin is the County Councillor for Norham and Islandshires. He is also Vice-Chair (Planning) of North Northumberland Local Area Council and the Vice-Chair of the Licensing & Regulatory Committee.
